We have event and meeting spaces throughout the church that can accommodate groups from 2 to 700. We welcome rentals of all kinds, from community groups to artistic performances to film companies.

Sanctuary

Mahogany wood, soaring ceilings and ten Tiffany windows have made this a majestic and welcoming space since 1847. One of the great early churches of the Brooklyn Heights neighborhood, our sanctuary holds the history, hopes and prayers of thousands.

William B. Olmstead designed the building in the Gothic Revival style with two side balconies and a ceiling that rises more than 40 feet. Our historic sanctuary is fully equipped with sound amplification, video recording and live web streaming.

The sanctuary floor seats 400 individuals. The balcony seats an additional 100 people.

Elliott Room

The sweeping expanse of this room is enhanced by a wall of windows and beautifully maintained hard wood floors. Perfect for a sit-down dinner for 100 or a stand-up cocktail reception for twice that. This versatile room has hosted birthday parties, cabarets, bar and bat mitzvahs, retreats and auctions. Gold gilded mirrors grace the walls and beautiful antique furniture adds to the charm.

Kitchen

Perfect preparation space for catered events in the Elliott Room. This kitchen has two electric double oven ranges, commercial grade refrigerator and under counter freezer, two microwaves, deep stainless-steel sink, and new granite countertops.

Thurman Library

Enhanced by the architecture of bay window seating, this room offers beautiful natural light and floor to ceiling bookshelves that lend themselves to the room’s studious atmosphere. The inviting space features an enormous fireplace and is ideal for small group studies, private receptions, green rooms, and cozy meetings. A private bathroom and coat closet round out the amenities.
