We have been feeding hungry neighbors for nearly fifty years. At First Church Brooklyn, no one goes hungry.

Food Justice

Our food pantry provides weekly food relief to our Brooklyn Heights neighbors and others in need. Our client choice set up means guests “shop” our shelves selecting items that work for them and their families. Our pantry is open to everyone on Thursdays from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. In addition, we also facilitate a gently used clothing ministry with items for children and adults.

The Brooklyn Heights Association recognized our pantry coordinator, Jane Woland, with its 2019 Community Service Award. What matters to our guests is that no one is turned away. We are here if you need us.

We are grateful to Brooklyn Bridge CSA and Sweet Pea CSA for their commitment to donating leftover produce to our food pantry. Thanks to their generosity, our guests have access to good, healthy nutritious food.
