Confirmation is a spiritual right of passage for young followers of Jesus.

In it, those who were baptized as children publicly profess their faith, reaffirm the vows of Baptism, and declare their intent to participate in the life of the church. At First Church Brooklyn, Confirmation is usually conferred upon those in 7th – 12th grade.

Confirmation Classes are a series of gatherings that allow participants to learn more about their faith journey, the Bible, Christianity, and the Presbyterian tradition. While required for those seeking Confirmation, it’s also great for those considering Confirmation, and for those who have been confirmed but are seeking a spiritual refresher. The series of gatherings conclude on Youth Sunday with students leading in all aspects of worship.
